Padanilam,
is a village located between Para and Edappon in Alleppy District of
Kerala. Padanilam got its name because this place witnessed war
between the Kayamkulam kingdom and the Pandalam kingdom. It is
famous for an important worship center named "Padanilam Parabrahma
Temple." It's one among the major temples in Kerala. The temple has no
compound walls and roofs. The important festival here is Sivarathri
conducted annually.
